Even in its first public beta, it's clear that Mojave is the best macOS upgrade in years, with dozens of new conveniences for managing documents and media files, an elegant new Dark Mode, and better security and privacy protection.

Mar 31, 2020  Since the Kindle App for my Mac updated to support the beta IOS El Capitan it's seriously faulty! Crashes, mostly crashes. When I get it to stay open for awhile, It shows fairly new stuff only, and just notifies of a failed download on ALL new books. The fonts still look like a quick and dirty port from another OS. The app is probably. One of my favourite apps is Kindle for Mac, but if you’re doing any kind of research or study, the fact that you can only have one book open at a time can be a serious impediment to your workflow. Here’s a few ways round this: 1. Kindle Cloud Reader Probably the easiest and most effective solution is to read your second book in Safari by way of the Kindle Cloud Reader.

  1. Oct 20, 2019  Now that Apple has release Mac OS X 10.15 Catalina, it is difficult to find and download Mojave on the Mac App Store. If you try to do a search for it, nothing will show for download.
  2. Fix Force Quit Not Working on Mac Mojave 10.14 or later. By jaysukh patel Last Updated: Jun 28, 2018. The Apple macOS is the excellent Operating System, but it’s not a stable one. When the app is crashing randomly, an app may freeze or hang, the app not responding, etc. In such situation we have only one solution that is to force quit the.
  3. Apple's latest Mac software, macOS Mojave, is a glorious boxcar full of new features and refinements. What's still not included, though, is a single page of printed instructions. Fortunately, David Pogue is back, delivering the expertise and humor that have made this the #1 bestselling Mac book for 18 years straight.

Traditional Light Mode

Mojave lets you choose between two Appearance options, Light and Dark. Light Mode, shown here, is what macOS has always looked like. In previous macOS versions, this dialog offered an option to make the menu and dock darker, but the rest of the interface remained light, with blindingly bright default folder icons that you couldn't change.

New Dark Mode Alternative

In Mojave, when you choose Dark Mode, almost everything in the interface goes dark, with white text and dark lettering. A few dialogs remain white in Dark Mode—for example, the Account menu in iTunes—but the interface will probably be more consistent when Mojave is released in the fall.

Desktop Stacks Feature

This is a fairly typical Mac user's desktop, with icons scattered at random and left wherever you dragged them. The View menu's Clean Up option always helped, but many users didn't know it was there. The next screen shows what Mojave does to clean up this mess.

Desktop with Stacks

Click Use Stacks in the Finder's View menu, and all your icons leap into place in neat stacks at the right-hand side of the screen. You can two-finger scroll through the icons in a stack to see what's there or click on a stack to make all of its icons visible on the desktop again.

Manage Images in Finder

In the Finder in earlier MacOS versions, you saw a file's name, date, size, and a few other details. In Mojave's Gallery view (the replacement for the old CoverFlow view), the Finder shows metadata in a sidebar on the right and offers menus for annotating images, trimming audio and video, and other management tools.

Trim Videos Without a Movie App

Finder now makes it easy to trim a video without waiting for a separate application to open it. Just select the block that you want to trim, and a few clicks later, your video is the size you want it. The same procedure works for audio files.

Timed Screen Captures

Anyone who takes screenshots knows that you sometimes need a few seconds' delay to open a menu or perform some other action before actually taking the shot. Previous macOS versions offered timed screenshots only with the little-known Grab app. Mojave lets you type Shift-Cmd-5 and bring up a menu that offers timed screenshots as well as video-recordings of the whole screen or a selected region.

Grab a Picture from Your Phone

Mojave lets you snap a photo from your phone and insert it directly into the document you're writing on your Mac. Ctrl+click in the document, choose Take Photo from the menu, take the picture on your phone, and add it into your document instantly.

Photos in Dark Mode

The Mac's Photos app has always used a black background when you edited a photo. Mojave's Dark Mode uses the black background for ordinary photo viewing, and images look more vivid than ever.

iOS Apps Comes to the Mac

The News app moves from iOS to macOS, with a spacious interface that displays more stories than you can see in one screen in your phone. I could live with smaller type for 'Apple News'—it's not hard to guess that this is a News app—but maybe Apple will tweak the app's appearance before the final release.

App Store Makeover

I didn't expect to care about Apple's redesign of the Mac App store, but the new design greatly improves the old one, with far more information on every app easily visible as well as video previews (if the developer supplies them).

A Better Purchased-Apps List

The App Store now shows a spacious view of your previous purchase, but you still can't sort them alphabetically. They always appear in reverse chronological order of the purchase date. And iTunes-like cloud icons replace the gray 'Install' or 'Download' buttons from older versions.

  • CAN NOT DOWNLOAD: Some probably encounter the following error: This site can’t be reached ...sundryfiles.com’s server IP address could not be found. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN. In this case, please use Google DNS and you will get rid of trouble.
  • If downloaded file can not be extracted (file corrupted...), please make sure you have downloaded the file completely and don't use Winzip, it sucks! We would recommend using The Unarchiver.
  • By reason, the App does not work and can not be opened. Mostly, just Disable the Gatekeeper, and you get rid of troubles.
